ALDI Menai, NSW

ALDI Menai, NSW

As part of a large roll out programme, the 9 day shutdown for the ALDI Menai store was especially unique due to its accelerated nature and demanding schedule of works.

The upgrade works included a full refrigeration upgrade and a full internal refurbishment.

As part of the upgrade, Prime Build demolished external features to make space for a new concrete slab, relocated underground services, installed new refrigeration units, operated a complex traffic management plan, managed crane lifts and completely reinstated the landscaping surrounding the store.

Prime Build had to plan precisely and execute e iciently to ensure the store’s full refrigeration and refurbishment upgrade were successfully delivered in the designated time frame.

Target to Kmart Conversion Templestowe, VIC

Target to Kmart Conversion Templestowe, VIC

A Target to Kmart conversion was undertaken at Templestowe, Melbourne, VIC.

The program included 8 weeks of pre-works followed by a 2 week shutdown period where the entire store was transformed into a Kmart before the launch of the new store. The pre-works period required the Target to continue to trade with our works happening the background ensuring the least disruption to the Target customer. When the store shut the all fixtures, shopfront and merchandise were completed transforming the space into a brand new Kmart store.

Myer Castle Hill, NSW

Myer Castle Hill, NSW

As Myer continues its transformation program around Australia, Prime Build delivered 4 major projects in as many states over the course of 2017.

This challenging project boasted a tight programme, involved a full refurbishment of two floor levels and over 10,000m² of retail space.

Stage One was successfully delivered and included, electrical, hydraulic & mechanical upgrades, construction of new fitting rooms, new store entrance, new floor finishes throughout and joinery delivered on time, in full with zero injuries onsite.

Prime Build look forward to continuing to work closely with the Myer Castle Hill team in 2018 when we tackle Stage Two of the project, allowing Myer to consolidate their trading area from three levels to two and ultimately offer their customers a superior experience in store.

Best & Less Tuggerah, NSW

Best & Less Tuggerah, NSW

We were engaged by Best & Less to deliver their latest format store at Westfield Tuggerah.

The six-week program included new walls, floors, ceilings, lighting and finish throughout. We supplied and installed all the joinery items including new fitting rooms, service counters, offices, and team room. Three weeks into the project we were awarded the shopfront works by the lessor which included a VM window, new roller shutter and entry portal, Best & Less Signage and Glazing. In six weeks, we delivered a brand new Best & Less with a brand new shopfront without any delays to the store opening.

ALDI Engadine Project Refresh, NSW

ALDI Engadine Project Refresh, NSW

ALDI had an existing store in Engadine shopping centre and was planned for a refit and extension as part of the Project Fresh roll out.

The existing store was to be extended by 8 meters in length by taking existing retail space by other tenants once they had vacated.

Prime Build developed a strategy to undertake the project in a two stage process to enable minimum disruption to the store trading operations.

The project was tracked in real time as built programme documented as the project progressed, allowing Prime Build to identify programme items that could be improved to amend future programmes of fresh roll outs. The key learning from this project is that the time could be reduced if direct subcontractors and suppliers operated 24 hours.

Maitland Mall, NSW

Maitland Mall, NSW

The Maitland Mall shopping centre was a tired, undercapitalised retail centre located in in NSW’s Hunter region.

Prime Build were engaged to revitalise the centre, works consisting of a complete refresh of mall areas, anchor tenant shopfront, amenities and a new food court and tenancy repositioning.

A staged works program was adopted to minimise disruption to the shops within the mall, as well as careful attention to dust minimisation and a focus on completing works prior to handover and exposure to Mall customers to reduce the impact of the refurbishment to their daily experience in the centre.
