Savers Thrift Store Darlinghurst, NSW

Our Team proudly attended the grand opening of the new Savers Thrift Boutique store in Darlinghurst - "The first of it's kind in Australia!".

An amazing new concept in thoughtful retail, Prime Build were excited to work with Savers to deliver the store and bring the project to life. . Our Team worked through the many changes presented in the process of trialling a new concept store and the collaborative result was much appreciated by the Client. Together, Savers and local communities champion reuse and keep millions of reusable items out of landfills each year.

Dan Murphy’s Alexandria, NSW

Dan Murphy's launched their fresh new look store in Alexandria. This was an important project for our client as Alexandria is one of the highest trading stores of their fleet.

For Prime Build Project and Site Teams, managing store disruption throughout the works was critical as was the safety and access of Dan Murphy’s staff and their customers. The store transformation was successfully delivered with great feedback received!

Coles Grafton, NSW

Prime Build was tasked with revamping the existing Coles supermarket in Grafton to better serve the local community and provide a vastly improved shopping experience.

The project was considered a major refurbishment which included significant structural and services alterations along with a complete overhaul of all finishes throughout the selling floor.

A major challenge involved the presence of asbestos in the adhesive beneath the vinyl flooring, necessitating its safe removal prior to installing new finishes. Meticulous planning allowed for nightly containment of each stage of HAZMAT removal operations, ensuring air quality monitoring and clearance certificates were issued every morning, thereby allowing the store to reopen daily without disrupting commerce.

In addition, the existing stores island Deli was required to be demolished and a new Deli, Bakery and Fish preparation and service area constructed with set down for refrigeration and food preparation grade floor and walls.

The successful store transformation included new design elements from the Coles Design Kit and was completed on time and budget with only one defect listed on the target completion date.

ALDI Salamander Bay, NSW

Prime Build have completed ALDI’s newest stand-alone store in Salamander Bay.

The project involved a large civil scope with construction of a sizeable OSD area, integrated landscape vaults and an open format carpark.

This new ALDI Concept Store includes office/ amenities and a mezzanine plant deck, housing all plant and equipment.

Prime Build delivered this much awaited project successfully and on time despite challenges encountered with supply and labour shortages and considerable rain interruptions in 2022.

Prime Build Office, NSW

Located within Western Sydney University’s Engineering & Built Environment campus, Prime Build’s national headquarters

was carefully designed by the team at Conrad Gargett with simplicity, function and fun in mind. The Charter Hall developed; 6 Star Green Star building inspired us to follow suit and design our own Green Star rated fit out on Level 7.

Features which our own team delivered include polished concrete floors, open plan kitchen, spacious focused work areas and hot desk/collaboration zone, along with careful integration of the base build finishes to reduce waste. The front entry feature consists of sustainably sourced Victorian Ash timber battens and the cantilevered reception counter constructed using concrete with 20% ‘recycled plastic bags’ for aggregate!

Finally a carefully designed IT and AV system has been implemented, using the latest in MS TEAMS enabled equipment to make our users experience as seamless as possible.

Monash University Clayton Campus – Informal Learning Space, VIC

Prime Build were engaged to transform and repurpose their existing office space to an open Informal learning Space for staff and students at Monash University.

The space was constructed within a live tertiary environment, being a foyer on the ground floor, we remained vigilant of the impact construction works would have on the wider Monash University community. We worked closely with the security team with proactive communication and provided weekly lookahead program to flag items of concern therefore subsequently mitigated potential disruptions.

Works includes new mechanical services, feature pendent lighting, individual working booths and timber hardwood fixed seating that spans across the entire back wall.

The project was delivered in full collaboration with Monash University’s project management teams.
