Prime Build

This saw the German based supermarket embark on an ambitious program to bring everyone of their fleet of stores to the same look and feel, requiring a flexible, innovative national contractor to deliver the intensive program, safely.

Prime Build were awarded the contract initially in NSW & ACT in 2017, which quickly expanded to QLD in 2018 to deliver these time critical refurbishment projects.

Our engagement was based on a schedule of rates, allocation model which saw Prime Build ultimately re -tender every year and provide savings of 3-5% annually to ALDI as a result of procurement savings and efficiencies that were made via learnings across our supply partner network.

A complex project respectfully transforming the 100-year-old building into a state-of-the-art Learning Centre with a totally redeveloped administration area and creating more space for play within the school’s beautiful grounds.

Works required extensive structural alterations with 20 tonnes of structural steel installed inside the existing building. New amenities block, teaching spaces, services and external façade upgrades, lift installation and landscaping works has called for careful integration with the school timetable to ensure the learning experience is not impacted, safety is not compromised and ensuring the project is completed within the tight timeframes.

The collaborative nature of the Prime Build Project Team and Site Manager, the Superintendent, the VSBA Project Officer and the School Principal sees the group work tirelessly together to achieve a great outcome for the Students, Teachers and Staff.

Whilst this project has thrown many challenges to the Project Team, financially due to the post COVID inflationary conditions and operationally due to the demands of the busy Live Environment, it is shaping up to be an amazing success.

Coles renewed format includes a range of innovative features such as an enhanced deli and seafood areas, refreshing juice bar and expanded fresh produce section.

Part of the project team’s brief was the relocation of the meat department to make way for the new Click and Collect section and supporting car park works to provide quick and convenient shopping accessibility for customers.

Extensive improvement works to the Bakery section led the project team to set up a temporary Bakery so not to disrupt the availability of this popular customer purchase.

The second store launch, as part of this multi-year program, is located in Sydney’s western suburbs in Blacktown.

The project delivers UNIQLO’s high specification and meticulously presented store layout to customers. Our scope involved all floor, wall and ceiling linings, electrical and fit out trades including management of shop fitting and other specialist trades. Careful coordination of Landlords’ works was required to avoid delays to the store opening. We are proud to be working alongside this amazing international brand for the years to come.

The building was made available by the Armidale Regional Council and provides a local, easily accessible base for the University of New England’s Smart Region Incubator from which it can run programs and opportunities that support resilient regional communities.

The renovation of this facility was to create a dynamic, open, innovative environment. This was created by delivering an open conference centre featuring all the latest interactive technology, a dedicated pod cast room, open area offices, a series of enclosed meeting rooms and the addition of numerous amenities to cater for the space.

Delivered in the midst of COVID and forever changing regulations all parties banded together to complete and deliver the project seamlessly and present a great quality project for the client.
