Sydney Catholic Schools, NSW

Sydney Catholic Schools, NSW

Prime Build were engaged by Sydney Catholic Schools to perform urgent rectification works to several of their school facilities and heritage buildings across New South Wales.

Each site required a unique approach, the main scope of work included investigating the existing roofs, awnings and platforms to determine the extent of the damage and detect any areas where stormwater could effect the roof space and cause structural or superficial damage. Where water damage was identified we repaired or replaced any damaged internal finishes and re-painted affected ceilings and walls. Most sites required the removal and replacement of all water damaged carpets and re-instatement with new.

As a preventative measure we installed new sub-floor ventilation fans to control the moisture in the floors.
Some of the schools requried additional works such as new asphalt with line marking and installation of new colorbond fencing.

Live Environment:
It is a priority of our team to ensure the school staff and students were not disrupted while these repairs were underway. As the majority of the works were completed during office hours, we work diligently to make sure no noise or dust generating works were completed during the schools operational hours.

Challenges:
Identifing the extent of the water damage and and establishing a feasible and sustainable method of rectification. It was also crucial for our team to establish what stormwater drainage issues they were experiencing. Prime Build and Hydraulic Consultants were dependant on the information provided by staff at each school to build the best solution for them.

Wollongong Medical Centre, NSW

Wollongong Medical Centre, NSW

Our client's brief on this project was to turn 3 old warehouse structures into a modern Medical Centre.

This challenging project involved largely demolishing the existing structures, while maintaining the existing roof structure, installation of screw piles for new structure, new footings, new structural columns, precast concrete panels and installation of a variety of external claddings. Major upgrading and modifications to base services was also required, included installation of a electrical substation, new communications and drainage infrastructure and a full new mechanical system. External works consisted of new storm water drainage, kerbs, pavement to the car park, extensive landscaping and major upgrades of the existing council footpath. The project was successfully delivered over a four month period.

ALDI McGraths Hill, NSW

ALDI McGraths Hill, NSW

ALDI McGraths Hill’s scope of works was broken into a series of sequenced stages over a 6 month programme to provide a major extension to the retail floor space.

The extension involved a large suspended slab, structural steel structure & trussed roof, and a precast lift shaft to house a new passenger lift. The works were completed with ALDI’s new specified finishes & fixtures requirements and handed back to the store team to trade. Prime Build then took possession of the next stages.

Stage 3 included major demolition of the existing store entry ramp and a portion of the existing retail floor. Existing structural steel was modified and new steel / roof sheeting was installed across the store to then permit the construction of a new entry ramp. The store was also shutdown for a portion of stage 3 for store refurbishment works.

The significant staging & HAZMAT latent conditions were overcome by the delivery team to deliver this great looking store to the local community safely.

BWS Chelsea, VIC

BWS Chelsea, VIC

Prime Build were engaged to deliver a full refurbishment at BWS in Chelsea, VIC

Works undertaken to BWS included new LED lighting throughout, refrigeration and condenser unit. The store also received new format finishes including flooring, internal /external signage, a complete new shopfront, gondolas and counter.

Project duration was carried out over 4 weeks working with multiple BWS stakeholders across operations, renewal, design and store development.

Practical completion was achieved mid-November 2019 and was well received by customer’s and the client.

Liquorland Shepparton, VIC

Liquorland Shepparton, VIC

One of Australia’s largest liquor retailers approached Prime Build to fitout a brand new Liquorland in Shepparton, VIC.

This project had many town planning challenges along with set deadlines for opening. In response to this Prime Build took on all planning responsibilities including acquiring a building permit in record time to ensure the store opened on time.

The project was a success with no additional costs.

Myer Cosmetic Hall Upgrade, NSW

Myer Cosmetic Hall Upgrade, NSW

Prime Build were contracted to complete the 3 stage Cosmetic Hall upgrade for Myer Parramatta, NSW.

This challenging project boasted a tight programme, involved demolition of old fixtures, upgrade of all services, detailed finishes to flooring and a new store layout which included 3 new beauty and treatment rooms.

This store had hundreds of light fittings sourced from China and Beligium installed throughout the store.

The 3 stages were run over 5 week programme with coordination of multiple brand partner installations. This was a live environment site with works completed behind hoarding during trading hours with no distruption to Myer staff or their customers
