Myer Docklands Head Office, VIC

Myer Docklands Head Office, VIC

After some successful projects partnering up with Myer, we were invited to carry out some work at their head office in Docklands, VIC.

This involved the complete strip out of 3 levels to bring the building back to original condition. Each level was approx. 1000m2 and needed to be completely stripped out including all offices, floor finishes and ceilings.

Following from this, new carpets, walls and ceilings had to be reinstalled to match a brand new building standard. This included modifying the building’s mechanical system, lighting and C-BUS along with fire services modification.

In addition to these 3 levels, we were commissioned to install a brand new entry foyer to Myer’s reception area on Level 1 with LED lit feature panels and a new automated sliding door.

Officeworks Head Office Fitout, NSW

Officeworks Head Office Fitout, NSW

Prime Build worked with Officeworks to deliver a full refurbishment to their two-story Communications Head Office in North Rocks, NSW.

The project involved dividing the current space into four unique stages to maintain a live environment throughout the programme duration. Works included new wall and floor finishes, construction of new rooms such as a unisex bathroom, washroom, prayer room and multiple new glass partitioned meeting rooms.

Prime Build successfully created a modernised working environment to accommodate over 150 Officeworks team members.

Clearstate Office, NSW

The design focus was to provide flexibility for an evolving and growing company, also adding greenery and natural materials to create warm and comfortable working zones, for each department.

Key references to a terrace, courtyard, laneway theme for the breakout area also allows for open plan meeting spaces and hot desking. Wall art and landscaping features lends to a softening and balance of the clean line design elements and modern meeting room area.

Prime Build were engaged to undertake a complete upgrade to the ageing café at the iconic Arts Centre Melbourne Forecourt.

Following full demolition of the existing structure, the Prime Build team set to work on the dramatically designed Protagonist Cafe project.
A highly technical structure completely floated over the heritage listed pavers. The building employed a steel and concrete ballast system to counter act wind loads whilst ensuring structural integrity.

From the dynamic Kaynemaile mesh curtain that surrounds the perimeter to the dramatic architectural lines of the stainless steel, every aspect was carefully considered and executed. We are proud to have delivered this powerful project in conjunction with the Arts Centre and Cumulus Studios.

Monash Health Casey Hospital (BER), VIC

Prime Build have delivered an extension to the live hospital emergency section with the ambulance bay.

All works were complete with minimal disruption to Casey Hospital.

KEY LEARNINGS

Coordination requirements for Casey Hospital systems and processes and specification requirements for mental health facilities were two areas of learning for our team.

InvoCare Dandenong, VIC

InvoCare Dandenong, VIC

Le Pine Dandenong is seen as a flagship location for the InvoCare brand; one of Australia’s largest funeral home service providers.

The redevelopment of the existing building saw three quarters of the structure demolished and an increase to the structure’s footprint. New function space, a chapel, consultation rooms and offices were built to allow InvoCare to operate all functions of the funeral process from the one location.

The project was an exciting challenge for the team, with the structure of the building being held up by laminated glulam timber that was left exposed to add warmth throughout the finished building. The chapel had new 8 metre vaulted ceilings, with full-height glazing to the back of the chapel, allowing a flood of natural light throughout the space, as well as great viewing of the manicured landscaping throughout the back garden.

InvoCare noted that this building will stand as an example for their business and we are proud to have delivered it alongside them.
