Prime Build attends the first annual ‘Creating Australia’s Best Airport City’ Conference

On Wednesday November 1, 2017 Prime Build attended the Sydney Business Chamber’s first annual ‘Creating Australia’s Best Airport City’ Conference.

The conference aimed to inform the design and implementation of the Australian Government’s infrastructure investment, transport and regional development policies related to the Western Sydney Airport development.

As active participants in the Western Sydney community since 2008, Prime Build along with DNW Group and Clearstate were key sponsors of the event and Dean Willemsen participated in a panel discussion moderated by Dianne Legge Kemp, Vice President of engineering firm Arcadis/CallisonRTKL.

Fully endorsed by the Federal Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and the NSW Department of Industry, the conference was attended by a wide range of stakeholders including the NSW Premier, the Hon. Gladys Berejiklian, international airlines, architects, state and local government bodies, education institutions, construction contractors and property developers.

Mr Willemsen said the conference provided a unique opportunity for the future stakeholders of the region to come together and facilitate local partnerships across all types of industries.

“We support the sustainable growth of Western Sydney and I personally believe that the development of the Sydney’s second major airport will provide an incredible opportunity to boost the economic growth of the region,” Mr Willemsen said.

“Not only will it catalyse new employment opportunities but also directly connect the region to offshore export opportunities in Asia and beyond, and support the development of critically needed housing supply.”
