Since we started in Western Sydney, Prime Build has been supplying a wide range of construction services, specialising in Live Environment delivery. Founded by qualified carpenters Dean Willemsen and Tim Thompson, Prime Build’s story started in 2009 doing odd jobs for builders in the retail construction sector. The small projects evolved into amenity refurbishments for Kmart Australia, which over 2 years saw Prime Build upgrade close to 20 across NSW. The team’s big break came following the on time, defect free, safe delivery of the refurbishment of Kmart Pagewood, NSW in 2012, which established a relationship that led Kmart to award Prime Build with the 2013 contract to deliver all of their store development program cross NSW and ACT – a contract which Prime Build has held since and has refurbished over 150 stores across Kmart’s fleet!

We have been able to transfer our skills in Live Environment retail construction into the Education, Government/Care and Industrial sectors where the safety of our teams and the public is paramount, timeliness of delivery is key and carefully programming and staging projects to minimise disruption a key factor that means the vast majority of our work is with repeat clients.

Prime Build continues to gain momentum as our management team share the ethos that Dean and Tim founded to company – we call these The Prime Build Way, they are our values and they are here to stay.
